Travel Blog on Hyderabad

I had been to Hyderabad on 24th Feb 2010, So here is my experience of the city. I had been there mainly for work, that is marketing our new product called RazorBee.
In the meanwhile I got time to visit this Historical city on Saturday the 26th Feb 2010. The state of Hyderabad is very bad at this moment because of Telangana Issue(asking for separate state). I got time mainly because of Bandh(curfew kind) announced in the city. Everywhere there is police and barricades so it was difficult to reach any place , but I was in no mood to waste entire day.

I went to my friends place which was near HiTex city , From there on we planned to go around the city. No cabs were available because of Bandh, So we hired Auto Rickshaw and we went to a place called Lumbini Park . Whole city was deserted that day , Only me and Nitin was wandering in the street as if nothing has happened :)

Lumbini Park:
Though this place was also deserted but on the look of it, seemed to be nice place , There is a lake around this park and in mid of the lake there is a statue of Buddha. Below picture is from that place. Unfortunately for us there was no boating so we couldn't go closer to statue. So Lumbini park is definitely one place to watch out if u like Boating and spending some time in park. Water seemed to be lil dirty but anyways we will not be allowed to get down there.

From there one can see Birla Temple . It is around 1 to 2 Km from this place , but we hired Auto Rickshaw as it was way too hot that day and its a steep road to reach there. We reached Birla Temple , Like theme of that day , no one was there so it was very peaceful place with very less crowd. I was very happy as I hate crowded place and it gave me opportunity to take some good pictures.

Whole thing seemed to be built with Marble , One will not be allowed to take Camera inside Temple so u will have to leave in cloak room for which facility is there.
It was a very calm place and architecture of the building is very good. To my surprise ! Though It was a Hindu Temple , At the top left corner they have paintings of Jesus and story depicting Christianity ! I am not against it , Just that I was surprised! From that place u have beautiful view of Lumbini lake. So second place to visit would be Birla Temple near by.

From there we planned to go to Golconda Fort , which is around 15-18km from Birla Mandir , We reached Golconda fort by 5 in the evening. My friend has visited this place before and said its a huge place and to enjoy it properly its better to hire a Guide , At this date They charged me 300 bucks may be it was costly but we had no other go so hired a guide.

Picture above (top) is the view from the bottom , (bottom) is the view from top.

From here u can even see 7 tombs , but I could capture only 3 tombs out of 7 . Guide says there is a secret route from Golkunda fort to all of these tombs where Mughal kings body used to be buried.

Have to appreciate the architect of Golconda Fort , Acoustics of the building is unbelievable and story relating to it add on to the beauty of it. Building below shows the diamond cuts in their architecture which produces amazing vibrating sounds.

After having good time at Golkunda fort , It was time to go back to my room , but it was sunset at that time , so best time for me take pictures :) , so here are few more pics from that place.
